Q: What do you love most about photographing weddings?
A: The joy, the emotions and the love! I can't pick a favorite moment- the details (give me all the details!), the groom's face as he sees his bride for the first time, the first walk as husband and wife, the first dance, the parent dances...the list goes on and on. I love nothing more than capturing each special moment and detail from behind the camera, and telling a story you will cherish forever.
Q: What's your style?
A: We define our style as light loving, natural, clean composition, airy and classic. We strive to photograph the authentic moments, the emotion and the true joy, anticipation and love from your day. We want you to look back at your photos in 10 years and think they are still the most beautiful, true to color images as the day you were married.
Q: How far in advance should we book our date with you?
A: Weddings are booked on a first come, first serve basis, therefore, we recommend to book as soon as you have a date secured. To best serve our clients and manage our home life well, we choose to limit our weddings to 35 per calendar year.
Q: I'm awkward in front of the camera and don't photograph well. Will you be able to work with me?
A: YES!! Absolutely! Most of our clients have never been in front of the camera like they are for their engagement session and wedding. Our job is to help guide and position you to look your very best.
Q: Do you help create a timeline for our wedding day?
A: Absolutely! About 2-4 weeks prior to your wedding, we have a phone or in person consultation to go over all of the details from timeline, to family photos and everything in between. This is typically an hour meeting to gather all of the information and work through a detailed timeline so everyone is on the same page. We strongly feel this is helpful to make the most of your time with us and to make the day flow smoothly, therefore, allowing the production of the best images possible.
Q: Will our photos be edited/retouched?
A: Yes, every photograph you receive is processed and edited using Lightroom and Photoshop.
Q: How many images will I receive?
A: You can expect between 100-125 edited high resolution images per hour of shooting time. We never place a limit on the number of photos.
Q: Do you provide your own lighting and back up equipment?
A: Yes! We are proficient in off camera flash and additional lighting when need be (ie. reception). We always come prepared to every wedding with enough lighting to light any room or situation. We carry backups of everything from camera to flashes, so if something were to fail, you wouldn't even notice.
Q: Do you charge travel for the wedding?
A. Here's the deal. We LOVE to travel! Getting to see the world and photographing love with a camera in hand is MY FAVORITE. Therefore, if you're planning a wedding outside of Southwest Florida, reach out! I will work with you and often you won't spend anymore than our package prices. We've traveled so far to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and many states as well. Our current dreamlist includes Charleston, California, Maine and anything overseas!
Q: Do you do video too?
A. No, we only photograph weddings. We strongly feel that in order to do our very best job and provide the highest quality of work, we leave the video to professionals in that industry. We can provide many excellent recommendations for videographers we've worked closely with over the years.
Q: How long does it take to receive our photos?
A: We post a sneak peek gallery of about 50 photos typically within 3 days of your wedding. You final product is typically complete around 4-6 weeks after your wedding, depending on season.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. We carry more than enough insurance to protect you, your guests, venue and ourself.
